Dzisiaj, 25 maja, mieliśmy okazję gościć z naszym Klubem Pacjenta również w Miasto Mielec, w Centrum Integracji Organizacji Pozarządowych Mielec 
Spotkanie było organizowane wspólnie z Uniwersytetem Trzeciego Wieku i Narodowym Funduszem Zdrowia, a patronat nad nim sprawował Stanisław Lonczak – Starosta Powiatu Mieleckiego Powiat Mielecki oraz Ministerstwo Zdrowia O nadciśnieniu tętniczym, jego objawach i metodach leczenia opowiadała Weronika Korzyńska, specjalista chorób wewnętrznych Grupy American Heart of Poland, która przekazała również wiele praktycznych porad, np. na temat tego jak prawidłowo mierzyć ciśnienie. Z kolei pielęgniarki Małgorzata Rzeszutek i Dorota Markulis podzieliły się ze słuchaczami 10 przykazaniami, których warto przestrzegać w profilaktyce chorób serca 
Wykład pod tytułem „Profilaktyka to nie tylko badania, czyli słów kilka o tym jak nie chcemy być zdrowi” wygłosił Rafał Śliż, rzecznik prasowy, pełnomocnik ds. kontaktów zewnętrznych z Podkarpackiego Oddziału Wojewódzkiego NFZ w Rzeszowie. Dodatkowo uczestnicy spotkania mogli zapoznać się z ofertą Narodowego Funduszu Zdrowia również za sprawą specjalnego stoiska NFZ 
Nie zabrakło też bezpłatnych badań oraz możliwości indywidualnych rozmów ze specjalistami – dzięki czemu słuchacze mogli od razu w praktyce zastosować się do przekazanych wskazówek z zakresu profilaktyki czy mierzenia ciśnienia
